Airsal cylinders are made of aluminum with Scanimet coating (nickel + silicon carbide). This coating improves wear resistance, in addition to the mechanical properties of the cylinder.
Its hardness (vicker +600), its flexibility, its lower heating, in addition to its low friction coefficient, are the main differences with respect to cast iron cylinders.
